MLM lead generation is the life blood of any network marketing business. Leads are simply people who have shown interest in either learning more about your business or joining your business. There are many different ways to generate mlm leads, and I'm going to cover a few of them. Before we go any further you need to realize that if you can generate leads, then you should be able to teach other people how to generate leads, and you will be a valuable leader to many people in the mlm industry.


Approaching your warm market to generate some leads is the first thing you will do when you start your business. Your warm market will consist of friends and family. This type of lead may or may not be of the highest quality when it comes to leads. This will depend solely on you as a person. You have to think about yourself from their point of view. Are you someone they should trust when it comes to starting a business? When I first began I knew my warm market didn't look at me as an authority, so I moved on to my cold market right away.


Generating quality leads from your cold market can be a much easier process than from your warm market. Your cold market will assume that you're an expert if you portray yourself right. Your cold market doesn't know if you're just beginning and have never made any money. They don't know that you might drive a broken down car. When you're just starting out, you can prove to be a good leader simply by getting some results. If you know more about the specific topic that your potential leads are speaking with you about, then in their eyes you are the expert.


Mlm lead generation is actually the easy part of the equation. Most people don't realize this, but generating traffic to your websites comes before generating leads from your websites. You need to get traffic to your lead capture pages before you can ever start generating leads. Knowing this fact should make you realize that you need to get 500 or more visitors per day to your website just to get 50 plus leads per day. I am stressing this point because most people don't realize that generating traffic is really the first part of the equation. Once you learn how to generate traffic to your lead capture pages, mlm lead generation truly will be the easy part.


Now that we know traffic is the key component to mlm lead generation, I want to give you a few ideas for how to generate this traffic. Know what your capture page offers that would make someone want to become a lead of yours. You then have to make your advertisements catchy to the people you're trying to attract to your lead capture page. You also have to make sure that your advertisement is congruent to what your visitors will find on your lead capture page. Your advertisement need to be seen by the right group of people. If you can figure out these 3 components to generating quality traffic, then the lead generation process will be very simple.


Once you begin the mlm lead generation process your business will start to prosper. You will likely be able to teach your team how to generate leads for themselves when you already know how to do it yourself. The success of any multi-level marketing business is dependent upon the duplication of your success by your team. As soon as you're able to generate leads easily, you will have no problem recruiting people into your business. By achieving results at any point in this mlm lead generation process you will be able to successfully move up to the next level. What I mean by this is that if you're able to generate traffic, and you can show your visitors that you can generate traffic, then you should have no problem converting your visitors into leads. Likewise, once your converting your visitors to leads and you show your leads that you're doing this, then your leads will likely want to join your personal team. MLM Success Tips For The Newbie

The warning comes from years of experience and the number of people I've seen sign up and drift away. And the problem isn't with the new distributor; the problem rests squarely on whoever recruited them.

Here's what happens: A distributor is interested in numbers (which is not a bad thing in itself) and thinks they can stretch a bit, maybe exaggerate a little... and this sets up false expectations in whomever they recruit. Then, the stories get boosted again for the next round. The end result is that people come in with incorrect information. They think the money flows larger and quicker than it actually does.


And when the promises don't deliver? Naturally, there are hard feelings and the new recruits leave - they feel like they've been lied to. This success tip is to keep your expectations realistic and don't sweat it if you aren't immediately successful.


Why is this so important? Because part of what makes a successful marketer is the ability to stick it out for the long haul. We act on a short horizon (weeks or months) but we need to have a long-horizon vision. If someone is telling you that by next week or next month you are going to have that six-figure income rolling in... well, get ready for a letdown. When mentors recruit based on hyped promises, they don't realize it, but they are killing the possibility of a solid, long lasting downline. A false expectation is a toxin. Don't use it and don't let it keep you from committing!


MLM Success Tip #2 - A Promise


I've heard it a thousand times-and seen it violated a thousand more. Network marketing is about networking, and networking depends on relationships. You have to get it into your head that you are making a promise to your downline. You are promising them that you will work as hard as they do, and even harder, to grow a network that works for everyone involved.


MLM tips come and go, but this principle will always be a part of our business. Relationships matter. That's why we start with a warm list - these are people we already have a relationship with. Moving beyond that means establishing new relationships through directed advertising and communicating an opportunity we believe in to those ready to hear it. But always, always, it remains about relationships and the promises we make to our partners.


Our income is directly proportional to how solid our relationships are with others in our network. This is a two-way street. If you expect the best from your team, then you have to commit to giving your best right back. Like no other business, MLM success depends on everyone pulling their share of the load. It can go horribly wrong when relationships break down... like a toxin that slowly eats away until nothing worthwhile remains.


The next time you have a chance to show how much you value a relationship over some minor irritation or a couple of dollars - don't pass it up, do the right thing.


MLM Success Tip #3 - The Hidden Bonus


There's a tip I learned from a friend who left network marketing. He'd done OK, but his dream had always been to get a degree and have a traditional brick and mortar business. We still talk and share stories. He told me an amazing thing. He said that he got something out of MLM beyond money, a hidden bonus.


When he opened his consulting company, he found to his surprise that a great deal of it mirrored what he did in MLM. Finding clients, explaining what his business could do for them, building and maintaining relationships, cash flow and inventory - he was already an experienced businessman and didn't even know it. (He's also considered the 'go-to' guy for internet marketing in his field... no surprise there!)


So here's the tip: Even if you don't retire with it, network marketing offers you a real opportunity to learn. In fact, to succeed in the modern MLM arena, you are almost forced to keep up. It encourages continual self growth and rewards those who make the effort.


There's really no excuse. The amount of free mentoring on the net for MLM marketing is astounding. And don't overlook the print media. Even one book a month on sales, marketing or relationship building will pay benefits. A college business degree costs tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. But you can get a hands-on education just by paying attention and putting out a little effort.


Don't sleep through the education being offered just because it is MLM focused and you aren't paying tuition. Start slow, but stick with it. Wherever you end up in five or ten years, this education is valuable - but you have to do the work.

Do You Love Your MLM Product?

For numerous people who are working an MLM business, the product is of secondary importance. They get excited about the compensation plan and get so focused on motivating their downline to make money; they start ignoring the real goal of the MLM business; which is to promote the products.

When picking an MLM company, you have to make sure that you like and can be passionate about the product(s) that you are going to be promoting. If you don't absolutely love the product line, it is going to be difficult to build your MLM empire. Always remember, as a representative for an MLM company, you are getting compensated for marketing the product(s)(at least you're supposed to be). Yes, you get paid on the size of your MLM downline, but the size of your downline reflects how much you have successfully promoted your MLM Company's products.


Selling products is really what MLM Network Marketing is all about. It's about building a strong MLM team that can go out and make a lot of sales so that they can make money and you in turn can make money. But so many people look at an MLM home based business without even really thinking about the product they are supposed to be selling. They are often looking for the best pay plan. But if the product doesn't excite you, the coolest MLM pay plan will not do anything for you.


An MLM company that doesn't have a great product or service is not a strong MLM company... period! If you want to build an MLM business that will be around in 5, 10, and 20 years from now, then you want to pick a company that has a great product line or great services.


If you don't love your product you're just not going to be as successful as you could be if you found something that you truly love to talk about.


This doesn't mean that product should be the only thing to consider when picking a MLM Network Marketing company, but it should be a big factor. A fair MLM compensation plan and a company that is set up for you to win is important as well.


Also, you have to consume or use your product. If you're marketing a nutritional product that makes people healthier, you'd better be using it yourself. If you're marketing a weight loss product you'd better be able to talk about how it worked for you, and if you're marketing services, you'd better have your own testimonials of how those services work for you.


Network Marketers who don't care about the products they are promoting make not-so-effective MLMers, because you can not truly promote something that you don't love to use yourself.


So find an MLM company that has a product line that you can be proud of because that is something that will make a significant difference in your earnings at the end of every month!

One of the most critical elements of network marketing success is leadership development, both for yourself and for you team. Your ability to develop your leadership skills and brand yourself as a leader will have a huge influence on your ability to attract and retain new members to your network marketing business. Your ability to develop leadership skills in your group will determine whether or not you will be able to build a solid long term income from your network marketing business.


Your first step is to do a self-analysis of your leadership skills and potential. Keep in mind that you don’t need to be especially outgoing or be able to command the attention of a room full of people.
